Our School
West Oso Elementary's first 3rd–5th-grade student body began its adventures in our state-of-the-art school in the year 2000. We proudly employ dedicated and passionate staff members who view their students’ academic success as a priority of foremost importance. We constantly strive to improve our academic excellence as we prepare our students to be successful in their middle school years and beyond.
Academics
We are committed to the academic achievement of our students. Our curriculum addresses the academic, social, and emotional needs of the whole child. We are excited and proud to offer the following to all WOE students:
- Inclusion special education program
- Bilingual education
- Gifted and talented education
- Small class sizes (With one teacher for every 20 students, students receive the individual attention they need and deserve.)
WOISD Attendance Policy
We require students to attend 90% of the academic school year. After ten consecutive absences, a student may be administratively withdrawn. Parents and students may receive a summons to appear in attendance court.
